Outbreak begins outside your area..what to do?

Here are the basic motions to take into consideration:

1. Outbreak begins, outside your city. Let's say you live in Miami, Florida. Outbreak begins in Oregon. It is 8am and you woke up to go to the bathroom but come across this.
2. You barely woke up to hear the news talking about possible quarantine. The situation looks under control, but are they covering it up?
3. The Virus spoken of is a type that reanimates the body and causes them to act violent towards others and hungry for any type of flesh. animal or human. This type of virus will keep its hosts brain active until the body begins to rot. The Zombies are at normal speed or a bit slower.

What would you do at this point?

find any possible weapon,make sure my place is sucure and no one in it is infected, try to contact people i know see if anything happend to them and then possibly meet up and our safe house and go from there

Easy Fortify the best out of all of my friends houses stock up on food, water, weapons, etc. and wait it out and if we run out of food then we would try and haul a$$ as fast as possible while shooting running slicing and if i got bit.... i would so get a bunch of zombies to follow me and i'd drop a match down the hole at a gas station

Get some people to come with me to a store like costco and fortify it then bring other supplys like ammo and medical supplys then defend the place.
