Electricity and Communication

OK so i was reading some posts about different types of weapons to use against the undead but what if you don't kill them with a head shot what if its a heart shot or something AND how would you spread the word about it because....

1) The Power Plants would shutdown with nobody to run them sure they would maybe stay on for a few weeks but happens then.

Solution- Energy Cells, Batteries, Personal Generators, and Solar Panels. Energy Cells and Batteries basically the same thing I'm not an expert so idk. Generators run on Gasoline as do Cars and Chainsaws you would have to ration out what you thought would be more important. Lastly Solar Panels are EXPENSIVE so you could either raid a place where they sell these (after the outbreak of course) or buy them now and store them someplace safe.

-Note i didn't put this up there because it would seem unreasonable but for anyone who saw the show Jericho you could build wind turbines as well.

2) Communications- this is more of a question than anything else but would the Internet still be up as well as phone lines or CB radios they run on electricity don't they Post me a suggestion

my only solution is to keep the electricity running to communicate unless anyone else has a suggestion

Also shouldn't there be a Universal CB station or frequency that everyone should use

your right there wouldnt be any power ive already thought of that but i never thought of wind turbines it all sounds like a good idea and the problem is we dont know if a head shot is a one hit kill were only assuming since the body needs a brain to function that if you take it out no more zombie but you are right it could be different and the only thing we can do is alert people of this danger,be prepared and we'll find out how to realy kill them if and when the time comes

Actually technically speaking, shot to the head is a definite plus for bringing Zombies down. Speaking scientifically, even as the heart is destroyed the brain can still function. The heart creates the pulse which basically "fuels" our body. The Brain is the battery which technically speaking can keep the body running for a short while depending on the virus. If you destroy the brain you guarantee complete failure of the body. its like a car, without gas you can still turn the car on but without a battery there's almost no chance for it to run. This is the same in the body, if the heart is destroyed the brain will continue to send out neural waves to the rest of the body but if the brain is destroyed the body will not be able to function at all. This is realistically speaking.

Now as for communication, during an outbreak let's say it has already gone to "Danger" level and it has spread worldwide. Power would be one of the first things to go, depending on the sets and regulations of your area. During the beginning stages of the outbreak, the electricity will be working as well as the internet. This is of course if your city hasn't been already destroyed by car crashes and riots, then power will most definitely be down. NOW at the advance stages like i said above, in "Danger" level all electricity will most likely be shut off. As for the internet, depending on your government and its "corrupt levels" they might decide to keep it on for means of communication. But if they are indeed corrupt, they will completely shut it down. Now if there's no electricity there is no internet so depending on the main server for the internet and its location it may be working in your country. Our main server is in Mexico City so if Mexico City is down, we won't have internet. If you have generators or solar panels then this will help you use the internet if it is working.

Yah that actually makes since.... but what about internet cards and stuff from places like AT&T or Verison those are off satellite arn't they but then again nobody would be there to manage the satellite and order a course correction if it goes on a collision course with somthing.....

However CB would defeinatly work since it creates its own short waves or somthing....

BTW i just heard that they cured AIDS with the Bubonic Plague... so lookout for that
